Client agreement
This agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and terms between the Northern Legacy Bureau (“the Bureau”) and the client (“the Client”). By proceeding with a project, both parties acknowledge and accept the terms below.

1. Project scope
The Bureau agrees to provide creative services as outlined in the selected package or custom proposal. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Legacy Identity Kits - Emblem or Crest Design - Heritage or Origin Story Writing - Motto or Creed Development - Memorial or Tribute Design - Visual Identity Systems - Apparel or Patch Design - Alliance Identity Work - Custom creative services
A detailed scope will be confirmed in writing before work begins.

2. Process & communication
The Bureau follows a structured process that includes:
1. Initial consultation 2. Discovery & interpretation 3. Concept development 4. Refinement 5. Final delivery
The Client agrees to provide timely communication, honest feedback, and any necessary information to support the project.

3. Timeline
Standard project timelines range from 1–3 weeks, depending on complexity. Timelines may shift based on:
- Client response time - Project scope changes - Additional revisions - Workload or unforeseen circumstances
Rush timelines may be available upon request.

4. Revisions
All standard packages include two rounds of refinement. Additional revisions are available at an hourly or flat rate, depending on the project.
Revisions must remain within the original project scope unless otherwise agreed upon.

5. Payment terms
- A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required to begin work. - The remaining 50% balance is due upon final delivery. - Work will not be released until final payment is received.
Accepted payment methods will be provided in the invoice.

6. Ownership & usage rights
Upon full payment:
- The Client receives full rights to use the final approved designs, narratives, and materials for personal, organizational, or commercial purposes. - The Bureau retains the right to display completed work in portfolios, promotional materials, or case studies unless the Client requests confidentiality in writing.
Preliminary concepts, unused designs, and drafts remain the property of the Bureau.

7. Confidentiality
All personal stories, memorial details, and sensitive information shared by the Client will be treated with respect and confidentiality.
The Bureau will not disclose private information without explicit permission.

8. Cancellations & refunds
- Deposits are non‑refundable. - If the Client cancels after work has begun, payment for completed stages may still be required. - If the Bureau must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, the Client will receive a refund for any incomplete work.

9. Client responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate information - Respond within reasonable timeframes - Communicate respectfully - Review drafts and provide clear feedback - Ensure all provided materials (names, dates, symbols) are correct
The Bureau is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect client information.

10. Bureau responsibilities
The Bureau agrees to:
- Deliver work with professionalism, dignity, and precision - Communicate clearly throughout the process - Honor the Client’s story and identity - Provide files in the agreed‑upon formats - Maintain confidentiality

11. Final delivery
Final deliverables may include:
- Emblem files (primary & secondary) - Narrative documents - Motto or creed - Color palette - Identity guidelines - Print‑ready and digital files - Embroidery specifications - Apparel mockups
Exact deliverables will be listed in the project summary.

12. Agreement
